Participating in the meeting were: His Eminence Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany; His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops; His Eminence His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada; His Grace Bishops George of Sydney and Australia and New Zealand; His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe; His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle, and His Grace Bishop Job of Stuttgart.

Opening the meeting, Metropolitan Nicholas congratulated Bishop Theodosius on the
anniversary of his episcopal ordination (2008), which was prayerfully commemorated the day before, and Bishop Irenei on his recent namesday.

The archpastors then listened to reports from His Eminence Archbishop George on the life of the Australian-New Zealand Diocese, Bishop Iriney on recent events in the Orthodox world, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia), and Nicholas Ohotin, Communications Director/Jurisconsult of the Synod of Bishops, on legal and property matters.

Outside of Russia, made an extensive presentation about its activities and plans.

Special attention was paid to the preparation for the upcoming Council of Bishops, which is to be held in Munich from April 29 to May 5, 2026, when celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the German Diocese will take place. In connection with this, after the proceedings of the Council, a jubilee scholarly conference will open at the Monastery of St Job, Abbot and Miracle-worker of Pochaev.

The Synod considered various church-disciplinary and administrative-economic issues, as well as a number of petitions from the bishops presenting their clergy and parishioners for church awards.
